Hopefully we’re not presenting to an empty room. Here we’ll learn what to ask about our audience (and about us) so we can all get what we want.

2 Material

We’ve got to present something. Emails, PDFs, plans, decisions…here we’ll learn a helpful process to ensure we gather everything we need.

3 structure

The story arc is a mysterious item once pursued by the great Indiana Jones…I might be thinking of a different arc. Here we’ll learn about story structure.

4 slides

Here we’ll learn the skill of effective slide design as well as how to write and say what we need to without presenting a textbook.

5 performance

We all get nervous from time to time. Here we’ll cover a few basic techniques to make sure we deliver our presentation with confidence.

6 my process

In this chapter I’ll share how I make a presentation end-to-end, showing everything we’ve learnt in action. Warning: I talk to myself…a lot.
